I never heard of avria antivirus. I just started using Microsoft Security Essentials. It came highly recommended from friends, and people who fix computers. It’s free as long as you are running a legal copy of windows xp or vista. It is an antivirus/antimalware/antispyware program. I’m sure it isn’t perfect but it’s been pretty good for me so far.
I use Avira along with Avast anti virus. I also have AdAware installed and i do a sweep every 3 or 4 days. I’ve been virus/spyware free for the best part of 2 years now.

Malwarebytes and SuperantiSpyware both are free and very effective,
